Make sure you are prepared for BYOD adoption

BYOD (bring your own device) is about having the freedom to use a device of your choice for business communications. With the introduction of the iPhone and subsequent sophisticated smartphones and tablets, a new generation of mobile users has emerged.

The availability of business communications on mobile devices makes employees better connected and more responsive, wherever they are.

Leveraging employee-owned devices for businesses communications not only reduces an enterprise’s need to invest in company-liable devices, but also reduces support costs.

However, in spite of the obvious benefits, organisations have been slow to embrace BYOD, mostly due to concerns around security and the complexities of delivering similar applications and services on a wide variety of device platforms.
